- Where is Hotel Rancho Uplistsikhe?
- We are in Kvakhvreli, in the Shida Kartli region of Georgia, directly beside the rock-hewn cave city of Uplistsikhe and about 10 km from Gori. The property sits by the river, with wooden gazebos and hammocks in the garden.
- What time is check-in and check-out?
- Check-in is from 13:30 and check-out is by 11:30. If you expect to arrive late, tell us your arrival time in advance so someone is there to hand over your key.
- Do I need to bring identity documents?
- Yes. Please bring identity documents for every guest staying. We are required to record the details of who stays with us, and we may have to refuse check-in without them.
- Can I cancel my booking or get a refund?
- No. Bookings cannot be cancelled and nothing paid is returned. If you do not arrive, no refund is due, and if you leave before your booked departure date we retain the amount for the remaining nights. Please be sure of your dates before you book.
- How do I pay, and in what currency?
- All prices are in Georgian lari (GEL). You can pay online by card when you book. Where a pay-on-arrival option is offered, you book without paying and settle at check-in; we may ask for a card guarantee or a deposit in that case.
- Do you arrange airport transfers?
- Yes. We arrange transfers to and from Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi airports. You can add a transfer to your booking, and the price depends on the airport and the direction of travel.
- Is transport included in your tours?
- Yes. Transport is included in the price of our tours, so you do not need to arrange a car or a driver separately for a tour you book with us.
- Can I book a tour without staying at the hotel?
- Yes. Tours can be booked on their own, without a room. Each tour is priced per person and carries its own date, which does not have to fall inside a stay.
- What facilities are in the rooms?
- Rooms include Wi-Fi, air conditioning and heating, a private bathroom, a mini-fridge and a terrace, and some have a kitchenette and a wood stove. Parking is available at the property, and housekeeping and room service are provided. Facilities vary between rooms, so check the individual room page for what that room has.
- How close is the Uplistsikhe cave city?
- It is immediately next to us — the cave city is the reason the property is where it is. Uplistsikhe is an Iron Age rock-hewn settlement carved into the rock above the Mtkvari river, and it is roughly 3,000 years old.
